ENVIRONMENTAL DEPRESSION

Darling River at Wilcannia 17.02.07

WELCOME IN

OR SHOULD WE BE WELCOMING YOU BACK?

WELCOME ANYWAY

TODAYS POST IS ABOUT

ENVIRONMENTAL DEPRESSION.
Drought
Not just empty empty rivers

Why is THIS happening to us and why are we irritated by news reports?

Why do papers' head lines irk our sensibilities?

Maybe as a generation we have just grown old enough to see, notice and reflect on the changes in our world over the past 50 years, seemingly with an exponential rate of change with modern technology and communication systems we sense an urgency to halt the obvious consumption and resource depletion with permanent destruction and scaring of our planet. This fits for my understanding of things, I do believe we must put the plug in the bath now, as difficult as that can be at times. Or as Bryce Courtney wrote in reference to any undoing in the Moloney family's life, in his book "Four Fires, "Someone forgot to take the spoon out"

We are desperate for a "Key Stone" a Messiah, to return and wave his wand, however whilst we wait for that Messiah's certain crucifixion we all need to unify our efforts of left and right and individually carry the burden of our cross with nature.

Here's a link about Environmental Depression and then Urban Built Environmental Depression after all the Darling river is dry to the bed and our dams are now heading towards lowest ever levels with todays announcement of further restrictions Lateline The China Post

Fortunately this Duck lives near the sea so we can still Float now and again to Ponder ways to support each other through this moment of rebirth from the gestation of the past 2000 years and we deal with the symbolic breaking of waters of a patriarchal impregnated society, a society now about to deliver new life to the family of man.
That's all folks get the sheets and water ready the birth is pending.
Love and Blessings phDuck
